SYDNEY MARKETS.
All! W. Fraskh Maktix, corn and produce factor, Sussex -strcat, Sydney, writes to this journal as follows : —".[conclude from your several letters ami enquiries therein that yon take a deep interest in the welfare of fanners particularly, and the whole district. Few would go to so much trouble and expense (instance consignment of several cases and qualities of fruit to me at your own expense) us you do to test values and find out cost of transit and charges here, few of our newspaper proprietors show such practical concern in their constituents as this. Re farmers sending one of themselves here with samples of wheat or other farm produce, lie had as well stay at home unless he is anxious to see and learn and perhaps find out who are the safest marks and who are logitimatcily prjduce agents. J'Vr selJm<,' I'V «ii»i|-'lc'.s, im-ticnl.irJy a stranger, there is not much chance unless he sells clieaK'r than anybody elsi-, and perhaps to doubtful marks. The better plan is to enquire who is one ie,>il,in,ate and sole farm produce agent, not companies or sheepskin, kangaroo-skin agents, and trust that man with all their produce. The wheat market is glutted at present. Would not advise shipping here for a time but wuuld advise them ship me all the onions they can. — Ituspectfully yours, \V. .Kkasjci; Ma'htin."
