At the opening oE the Koyal Academy today, the Marquis of Salssbury announced that an auonyinous donor had offered to erect a new national portrait ga'lery on the, site offered by thn ( liivenimont, no.ir Tvafalgarfxiiiiire, whure the former institution stood. It is rumoured that Mr W. H. Kinitli, leader of the House of Coniuvjiis, is t!io donor referred to.
