KIRIKIRIROA ROAD BOARD.

At the annual meeting of the Kirikiriroa Koad Board held yesterday at the Waikato County Council Chambers at 2.30 p.m. tho following members were present : — Messrs Primrose, T. 11. White and G. Edmonds. Mr Primrose was re-elected chairman for the ensuing year, and Captain McPherson was re-appointed secretary and treasurer. The monthly meeting was held immediately after the above, the same members being present. Bate. —The chairman stated that for the present year to provido the funds to carry on the works of the Board, it would be necessary to Btrike the rate of § of a penny in tho £, which would give about £470, which, with Government subsidies and arrears will make a total of about £580, and the chairman gave notice to move at next meeting that a rate of § of a penuy in the £ be struck.

Petition.—A petition was reeeived from eleven ratepayers at Taupiri, praying that the road running from Brown-street to the Maungawharo Creek be opened up. The Engineer was instructed to inspect the work and report as to what would have to bo done at the next meeting of the Board. Tenders.—The following tenders were received for the decking of Lovell's Bridge : R. Dellicar (labour only), £7 10s ; G. F. Worthington (timber and labour), £22 10s ; J. Frear, (timber and labour), £2B 10s. Mr Edmonds moved that Dellicar's tender for labour be accepted, seconded by the chairman and carried. The engineer stated that the cost for the bridge would now be about £21155.

Road Maintkx.vncb.—Mr G. Wishart pare notice to terminate lus engagement with the Board in a month's time from tho 2nd of May. Tho Clerk was instructed to hold the money for the month until tho engineer has inspected the road and certified to its condition. The Engineer said that he had had some complaints as to the condition of the road. It was decided to call for tenders for road maintenance to bo in at the next meeting of the Board. Payments.—The following accounts wore passed for payment .—Churches, £2 ; Johnson, £0 0s (id ; The Waikato Timks; £17s ; J. Knox, 8s lOd. This concluded tho business and the Board rose.
