S.A.R C. Autumn Meeting.

To-iiay's meeting promises to be the greatest success that has yet been attained by the club, judging by the number of entries and the interest which the racing public seem to bo taking in the matter. The special train from Auckland is expected to bring a large contingent, and from Mercer southwards the settlers will bo up in good numbers. The course is in gorid order and notwithstanding the doubtful appearance of the weather, the glass tells us that we can expect a fine day. Tho first race starts punctually at 12.30 p.m., and the stewards mean to run the programme through up to time. The Hamilton Band will play a selection of firstclass music during the afternoon. The following horses are already in Hamilton :—Puni, Lady Marion, Spice, Hydrogen, Alligator, Guy Fawkes, Orangeman, Wideawake, Fairplay, Seaweed, Toatoa, Earnest, Farnell, Nap, Billy, Haricot, Riot, Memorandum, Cushla, Forest King, St. Michael, Clipperina, Mararoa, Flirt, Carmichael, Sandfly, Tit Bit and Ned. Some six or seven horses are coming by the special train to-day, including Tupaki, Dollar, Ringtail and Waitoa, so that the number of contestants is very large, and the events are certainly very open.
