The special train from Auckland is expected to bring a large contingent, and from Mercer southwards the settlers will bo up in good numbers. The course is in gorid order and notwithstanding the doubtful appearance of the weather, the glass tells us that we can expect a fine day. Tho first race starts punctually at 12.30 p.m., and the stewards mean to run the programme through up to time. The Hamilton Band will play a selection of firstclass music during the afternoon.
