Hamilton East.

Tho annual meeting of householders, in the above school district was hold in the schoolroom on Tuesday evening. The attendance was not so large as ou former occasions. Mr L. Coates occupied tho chair. Tim secretary read the report of the outgoing committee, together with tho balance-sheet for the past year, which wera unanimously adopted. Messrs I. Coates, W. Dey, 0. Tippen, J. Mullions, J. lteid, W. I'. Bell, and J. Steadman, were proposed asthe cointrittee for the ensuing year, and the number nominated not being in excess of that required, thcue gentlemen wero declared elected. At a meeting of the new committee held subsequently, Mr I. Coates was elected chairman, and Mr W. Dey re-appointed secretary and treasurer.
