NEWCASTLE ROAD BOARD
Tin: ordinary mooting of the above board was held on Thursday, the 11th inst., at the office of tlio Board. Present: The Chairman and Messrs Corbctt and Bycroft. The minutes of tho last meeting were read and confirmed.—The correspondence sent and received having been read, it was resolved that the consideration of Mr Inghani's letter, re road forming, be left over for the new Board to deal with.—The auditors demand was also deferred.—The Waikato Tim us and Waikato Steam Navigation Company's accounts were passed for payment.—On the consideration of Mr Liminer's account, for £3 for road work, Mr Corbett reported it was not done according to specification, and the chairman was authorised to pay him the sum of £3, on condition that Mr Liinmer give a receipt in full of all demands in connection with this work.—Mr Shepherd's letter was also referred to the new Board.—The returning officer was instructed to take the necessary steps to hold the general election, and the Board rose.
