(by klkctkio tblkgkaph—copyright.) London, April 10. It is reportrd lint the Marquis of Londonderry, Lurd-Lieuu-nant of Ireland, will rui-ign that office in August next for private reasons. The Marquis of Salisbury was much disincl nerl to accept his resignation. It is expected the Duke of Abercorn will succeed him. April 11. The Morning Post denies the truth of the report that the Marquis of Londonderry will resign the Lord-Lieutenancy of Inland. Mr Hennike.r Hea.on has arranged that Sir Charles Russell, Q.C., shall arbitrate in the dispute connected with the administration of the Vandeleur estates, Ireland. Mr Davitt said he considered it the first step towards the solution of the land question. In the, House of Commons to-day, the Bill introduced by Mr Daniel Crilly, M.P. for Mayo, dealing with arrears of rent in Ireland, and providing for further protection for improvements made by tenants, was rejected by a majority of one.
