RAILWAY RETURNS.

The railway traffic returns for the four weeks ended 2nd March last, and for the corresponding period in 1888 give the following results for the Auckland section: — Passengers, 1889, 23,802; 1888, 28,897. The expenditure was £591,247 and £033,349, or a saving of £42,202.
