t (j5Y TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WANGANUI, Monday. Mrs Doran, wife of an engineer lately ou the Heads Railway, haa been missing since last Monday night. Her hat has been found in the river, and it is supposed she haa been drowned. When last seeu she was suffering from usuralgia, and intimated her intention of walking to town to have a tooth taken out. CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Mr Allan Scott has received a cable from Loudon, instructing the immediate completion, of surveys at Springfield and on the Midland Railway Station. Contracts for the work at that end of the line are to be let at once.
