KIRIKIRIROA ROAD BOARD.
Tim usual monthly meeting of the lvirikiiiroa Road was held in the Council Chambers, Hamilton East, ftt 2.30 pin. yesterday. There were present : Messrs Primrose, McLean and Edmonds. The minutes of last meeting were confirmed, anil the outward correspondence was lead and received. Lkavk.— Leave of absence was granted to Mr W. H. M. Lovell, who was prevented from attending by uigent business. Funds.—The Cleric reported that the Board's finances were £75 10s (id in credit. Exciixumt. —With the permission of the Board, Air Edmonds withdrew his notice of motion re the engineer. As the term of this hoard was so short, he thought it would be advisable to leave this matter iu the hands of the new Board. Road. —The engineer reported that, to make a road into Mr Alex. Smith, the furze in front of Messrs Steele's and Davis properties would have to bo cleared. Ihe Clerk was instructed to send tho necessary notices to have this furze cleared. On tii3 furze being cleared the engineer was instructod to put the surfaceman on to do the necessary road work. Jamks'Dkain\—Tho engineer reported that the surface iuau had thoroughly cleaned out this drain. He had ordered a culvert to be put in over the Government drain which crosses the road into the subburban lands at Ngaruawahia. It was decided to put. in two culverts at the liailway crossing on this road, ut a cost of about k7 10s. . . . . Misllak's Hoar—lt was decider that the Burfaco men do a few days' work on this road, and then the formation might stand over uutil next season. Manuawhakb Road.—lt was resolved to supply pious to the Waikato Lund Association to put in a culvert on this road. Lovkm.'s But due. —With regard to this bridge, the engineer reported that ho had inspecte.-l it and found the under rtrueture to be perfectly sound, but the decking would require to be renewed. It was resolved to call for separate tenders for the workmanship and material for this job. Paymkxts.—The following accounts were passed for payment:—Wishart, £5 Ss 4d ; Tub Waikato Timks. (is ; Johnson, £7 10s; Robinson, Ins ; Churches, £o os; Waikato County Council, (Hospital contribution), £150. , J , This concluded tlio business, and the Board rose.
