Harykht Thanksgiving. --'Che harvest thanksgiving servico at St. Saviour's Church i)U Sunday evening last, was largely utteudod. The church was most tastefully decorated throughout. On the altar were displayed pyramids of fruit of various kinds, with sheafs of grain and maizo most artistically arranged All the windows, chandeliers, brackets and cornices were decorated in a similar manner, which had a most charming effect. Great credit is due to the young ladies of Alexandra, assisted by a few of the male inhabitants, who foulf §o inueh pains in their work and succeeded so well. Ag, of course, the rl.qnors of frhe fruits were principally surrounding settlers, or at some distance, nearly tho whole of the work fell to the townspeople and a few residing in the immediate neighbourhood. Tho service was conducted by the Rov. Mr Bolor and the lay reader, Captain Hoarne, and was partly choral, the singing being excellent, tho choir singing their best " with heart and and Miss Finch playing the harinomum. The Rev. Mr ||ole.r took for Ijjs the lijtri verse pf 'the eighth iihaptei; of Luke, and preachod a most eloquent and appropriate sermon, which was most attentively listened to. At its conclusion that favourite hymn "With One Accord Lot All the Earth," was sang by the congregation. The fruit, etc., presented will bo given by the Rev. Mr Boler its a (Jouatioti to the Hamilton Hospital.
