FIRE NEAR HAMILTON.
Al about half-past six on Thursday evening tho glare of a fiio was seen on the Ohaupo Road beyond tho Waikato Hospital, and shortly after word was received in Hamilton that Messrs Knox and Kidhu-'s flour mill had bean completely destroyed by lire. There is no accounting for how the fire originated beyond the surmise that sparks from burning scrub and gorse in the neighbourhood must have lodged somewhere on the buildings and ignited them. Wo buliovo nothing was saved, and Messrs Kuox and Kidlur will feel the loss severely just now especially, when there was every promise of a fine season of grist and high prices for flour. General regret is felt for them in their misfortune. Tho mill was insured in the New Zealand office for £500 on the building and £500 on tha stock. It was only last season that expensive, improved separator machinery was erected at the mill at considerable cost.
