S. von Sturmer, who intends carrying on the flax business on an extensive scale. Nkw Era.—Mr Peter I am told on good authority lias arrived in Auckland, sit last, after a long absence in the Old Country. It is to be hoped his advent will very soon justify the name ot his ground, the New Era Special Claim, and that it will prove a time and mine of prosperity to all concerned. 1\ HvI)E. —A subscription is being got up here tu assist Frederick Hyde, whose injuries will unfit him for work for some time. About £6 has been collected.
