A Bill will be introduced in Parliament to devote the money to the relief of women in distress, and a council of 20 women will be appointed to control the fund. A man named Davis has surrendered himself to the police at Broken Hill, and confessed that he poisoned a man named George IS months ago. .Brisbane, Friday. There is considerable activity in the flour and sugar markets, lloller-made flour commands £15 15s; sugar, good white, £25, holders asking £28.
