S. PAUL'S WESLEYAN CHURCH, CAMBRIDGE.
I-[akv!-:st Festival services were held at the above Church on Sunday, the Rev. Mr Risbworth being the preacher both morning and ev oning. Suitable hymns wore sung •and also the following special music :— Morning. Anthems, " We've Sighted tlui Golde:i Gates," and "Am we Sowing," and frr the offertory ''Jerusalem, My Glorious Home." Evening. Anthems, "Who is on the Lord's Side, "and "Bringing in the Sheaves," and for the offertory, •'Sowing the Seed." The Church was well filled both morning and evening. The vocal solos wore taken by Mesdames Hunter, and Roberts, and Miss Priestly. Miss Maud Nixon and Mr Meachein joined in_ a quintette. The Church was very prettily decorated by a number of ladies under the supervision of Mrs Priestly, who exhibited treat taste in arranging the fruit, flowers, &c. A soiree was hold on Monday eveing at which fruit was handed down. The Rev. Mr Risliworth presided, and the following prolamine was very successfully gone through :—Pian.-i duet, ''Sβ Suis Pret," Misses Nixon ; song, " The Fairies," Miss Priestly; reading, " Moses' Mother-in-law," Mr Gana; violin solo, "Home, Sweet Home," Rev. T. G. Carr; song, "The Bridge," Mr Meachom; duet, "Silver Moonlight Winds are Blowing," Misses Priestly and Nixon ; rending, " The Handsome Man," Mr R. Reynolds ; song from " Maritnna," Miss Caley; song, "The Lands O' Dee," Rev. Mr Carr ; reading, "Horace Greeley's ride to Placerville." Mr R. Caley ; song, " Lassie," Mrs Roberts ; song, "Tired," Miss Wenie Walker (enthusiastically encored) ; violin solo, "II Baden," Rev. Mr Carr ; song, "The White Squall," Mr Meachem. encored and " Rocked in the Cradle of the Deep " substituted. M Gane proposed a vote of thanks to those who had assisted, which was carried by acclamation.
