THE SUDDEN DEATH AT WAITETI

Thb inquest on the body of the lata Mr Geirgo Sheriff was held at Waiteti before Mr Gresham, coroner, and a jury of six, of whom Mr John Dewar, the overseer of works, was foreman. From the evidence, including that of Dr. Pairman, who accompanied the coroner on his journey to Waiteti (a distance of 45 miles), it appeared that death resulted from fatty heart, the deceased being a very corpulent man. The deceased had complained for three or four days prior to his death of feeling indisposed, but nothing serious was anticipated. The body was interred at Te Awamutu on Thursday morning.
