A LUCKY ESCAPE.

Dh. Waiidington was called in yesterday toattond Mrs J. O'Dwyer of Gorton, who had met with a peculiar accident on the previous day. A threshing machine was at work in a paddock, and it frightened a team of horses in a waggon. They set oil at a furious rate towards the gate leading into the road. Mrs O'Dwyer attempted to stop them by holding up her arms in front of them. This, however, did not have the desired result, and one of the horses ran against hsr knocking her about ten yards. She is very much shaken, but strange to say has not any bones broken. Tho doctor thinks it a miracle that she was not killed.
