HAMILTON ROAD BOARD.
Thh monthly meeting of the Hamilton Iviad I'oard was held on Saturday afternoon. Present : Messrs .tones (chairman), Atkinson, Way, Maunder and Livingstone. C'asti.kton's Jihiiick. —Mr Maunder reported that he had examined this bridge and found that eisiht ox 3 planks were needed to repair the. decking, and also four stringers. Resolved that the necessary repairs be u;"de. PuiH.K! Works Amhshmuxt Act.—The Board adopted similar objections to those of tlio Hamilton Borough Council with regard to the proposed gor.se clauses. Stokics' IjLsii Roam.--Mr T. G. Sandes was authorised to take levels of this road, and prepare plans and specifications of cost of draining, il'.e. NuwL'A.sri.H Road I'.oaiui.— The Board refused to reconsider the matter referred to in the letter of 2nd .Taumny from the chairman of the Newcastle Road Hoard. Is'tkkkst. — The sum of £7 8< (id due on loan from the Government was passed for payment. Ri:kuiiia Swamp Roah.—Mr Atkinson was requested to ascertain the cost of gravelling part of this road. This was all the business.
