INTERPROVINCIAL CRICKET MATCH.
« [BY TBLEGIIAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION*. 1 Christchurch, Friday. The Otage v. Canterbury cricket match began to-day in Lancaster Park. The weathm wis fine, but the attendance small. The wicket wan in good order. E. J. Cotteroll, captain of the Canterbury team, won the toss, and sent his side in. At the close of the day they had lost nine wickets for 35J runs. The Otago bowling was weak, bm the li-lding was very creditable. E. Dovvnes took 3 wickets for 90; Turner, 4 for 50.
