AN OLD CORPS DISRUPTED

(by electric telegraph.—copyright). Lon'dox, December 20. The Hnn. Artillery Company, of Lnndnn, the oldest military corps in the Empire, (dating from 158")), have beon suddenly disbanded, and their guns removed. Members recently agreod to a scheme proposed by the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Portland, who are Captain-General and Lieutenant-Colonol respectively of the corps, to place the company under the Volunteer System. Members, however, refused to pass a .'notion to grant £500 for military purposes, and the Prince and the Duke threw up their commissions. The War Office, thereupon, disbanded the corps.
