Those who wont to hour good music and sinking I wore not disappointed, nil the pieces being well rendered. The fact that Mr Pattersun presided at the organ was a sufficient guarantee that the instrumental portion of the music was excellent. The instrument wns a very line American organ, which the members of the Weslcycin church very kindly lent for the evening. The vocal part'of the recital reflects the highest credit on Mr Burgos.-, who very ably perfor ned the duties of conductor. He took a great deal of pains with the singers at Iho practices, and it must be very gratifying to him to know that all the ladies and wntloiueii who toil; part acquitted themselves so creditably. The object <.f the recital was to obtain funis for the purchase of now music for the church choir. The church was cram!U"d t.o overflowing and everyone wont away thoroughly pleased with his or her evening's entertainment.
