fitY TELEGRAPH—OWN' CORRESPONDENT'!. Auckland, Wednesday. Maky Davis, for unlawfully wounding her husband at tho Thames, was found guilty, with ft strong recommendation to mercy. Invickcaroii.l, Wednesday, At the Supreme Court, to-day, .lolm Maloney was sentenced to ton years' imprisonment for shooting at Dr. Galbraitb. He pleaded guilty. The eviclenco indicated an antipathy to the medical profession on tho part of tho accused, through the belief that ho had been injured by an operation. The Judge, in passing the sentence, said he must assume sanity, but he would call the attention of the Executive Government to the case, in order to make an investigation as to the sanity or otherwise of the accusod.
