HAMILTON WEST SCHOOL CONCERT.
Tirrc annual entertainment in aid of the usual sports for the children attending the Hamilton West School was held in the Volunteer Hall on Tuesday night. There was a very good attendance. The parts taken by the juvenile performers were gone through with in a highly creditable manner that both astonished and pleased the audience. The entertainment was equally as successful financially, as we understand the ram of £7 was taken at the door. The following was the programme :—Pianoforte duet; chorus, "Indian Warrior's Grave," children ; recitation, " The Level Crossing," Sarah Harwood ; solo, "Songof the Oak," Air Meaclieni; song and chorus, "Anvil Song," children; trio, "The Canadian Boat Song;" recitation, "Charge of the Light Brigade," Joseph Devery; solo, "White Wings," Mr Steele; chorus; "Homo.
