AociDKSTS.— Aii accident of a very serious character happened to Mr Shcppurd, liotelkeeper, K.uangithape. He was thrown violently from his horse, and when picked up was quite insensible, and bleeding from the nostrils. Up to the time the messenger, who was despatched for Dr. Cooper, left, Sheppard was still unconscious. As Dr. Cooper was not in town the messenger had to return alone. The Dr. went down early next morning. Mr James Mills narrowly escaped having his leg broken by a kick from a horse when returning from tho last County Council meeting. He was riding in company with Mr Bradley who was leading two other ponies, which ho had purchased at tho Cambridge sale, when , one of them suddenly let fly both heele striking Mr Mills on the rintit leg about the ankle, but fortunately without breaking it. The injury has compelled Mr Mills to lay up for a day or two.
