COLONIAL GOVERNORS.
[By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.! London , , November 27. Silt If. A. BI.AKE has resigned the Governorship of Queensland. Earl Derby said that Sir H. A. Blake was recorded as one of the ablest men fitted for the highest colonial post. Four noblemen have refused the appointment which is now offered to Lord Balfour, of Burleigh. November 29. The Press generally commiMids the attitude assumed by Sir H. A. Blake in the recent difficulty. The Times censures Lord Knutsfoid for weakness in receding from the stand he took up at first in the matter. Lord Balfour, of Burleigh, has declined the Governorship of Queensland. November 2S. Sir 11. A. Bliiko, in a letter to the Times, says that although the Parnellites numbered amoncr thpir sympathiser.--, one Newfoundland Minister, that fact never affected the official cordiality between the Govern-r and the Ministry, nor lessened their mutual esteem.
