SCULLING RAOE.

Sydney, November 27. The sculling race between W. Beach and K. Hanlan, for £500 a-side, was rowed over the, championship course on the Parramatta liivor this afternoon. A good start was effected, and before going 200 yards Beach had a pronounced lead, but Hanlan, with a grand spurt, gradually reduced the gap, and passing the mile post the boats were on level terms. Crossing over to Putney the Canadian had a slight lead, but the rough water interfered with him, and Beach again forged ahead. From (iladeville Hanlan rowed a plucky losing race, but could not get on even terms with lioacb, who won by two lengths. Time, 21min. l'wccs.
