PRESERVING EGGS FOR EXPORT.

| BY TELEGRAPH. —PKftSS ASSOCIATION] Christchurch, Friday. Mr Alexander Beck, Consul for Belgium, writes to the Lyttelton Times, suggesting that the Government and Agricultural Associations should encourage the preservation of eggs for export. He has successfully preserved eggs by extracting the air from their aiv ohambera and replacing it with gas azote or nitrogen. Eggs so treated after being kept eight months were sent to Belgium which they reached in perfect order, though not sent in cool chambers.
