« Entertainment.— Tho entertainment on Friday Inst nt the Public Hall by onr local amateurs was a most excellent one, but owing to the inclemency of the weather the attendance was comparatively poor. A number of those who took part in the evening's amusement were new to the boards, and will be a great acquisition to our local meetings in future. Great pains had been taken in getting up the entertainment. The performance alone of the airy play entitled the "Lucky Pago" was a treat in itself, the juvenile performers going through their parts most successfully, thanks to the excellent management of Mrs Aubtnand Captain Hearne, who both took great pains in getting no and in the rehearsals of the pice?., Bo enthusiastically have those present epokon about the excellence of the acting that a great number of requosts have been made to have it and the whole of the programme repeated on a future occasion. This will be done rune tiffin during tho Christinas week. A pleau&nt danpe followed as usual, as a finale to the entertainment.
