Constable Donoglme also searched a man named Phillips, and fonnd three trout, one weighing 81bs., in his possession. Last night the office of Isaac Allen, Bailiff here, was broken into. All valuables were in the safe, and all that was taken were some receipts and letters, Alexander Watson, painter, Rangiora, and his son had a narrow escape from drowning in the Ashley River this morning. Their horse got into a quick sand and overturned the vehicle. With great difficulty they swam to the bank. The horse was drowned.
