THE STRIKES IN AUSTRALIA.
[BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT. 1 Sydney, November 4. The matters in dispute between thecarpenters and employers not being settled, all the men have gone out on strike. The delegates representing the miners have made overtures to the masters, that all differences should be sunk, and nothing should be allowed to interfere in the men obtaining employment. The masters wero quite willing to agree, except incase of the officials, but the men stated they were prepared to stand by their officers.
Several Italian minors have averaged £7 10s for the past fortnight.
