HAMILTON BOXING-DAY SPORTS.

The adjourned meeting of those interested in carrying out the Hamilton Annual Boxing-Day Sports was held at the Roya: Hotel, on Tuesday evening. Present: Messrs W. F. Bell, (chairman), C. Le Quesne, S. Pascoe, T. C. Hammond, H. Merodith, W. Willan, T. Keep, W. Peacock, C. Tippen, T. Evans, C. Hall, W. Manktelow, and Geo. Edgecumbe, (Secretary.) The minutes of the previous meeting having been read and confinned, it was resolved oil the motion of Mr Hammond, seconded by the Chairman that Mr Fdgecumbe be elected secretary and treasurer. The Treasurer's statement ot receipts and expenditure for last year, and, the Secretary's report were received and adopted. It was then decided that the usual sports should be held on Sydney Square on Boxing-Day, and the following gentlemen were appointed a committee to carry out all the necessary arrangements in connection therewith : — Mersrs W. F. Bell, J. C. Booth, A. G. Bright, T. G. Sandes, C. LeQuesne, C. Tippen, P. K. Stevens, H. I. Biggs, K, F. Sandes, If. Meredith, S. Pascoe, F. Hammond, W. Hammond, J. Primrose, W. Cussen, D. Henry, C. Davis, Fleming, P. Misnen, R. Parr, 3. Pannell, W. Odium, W. Willan, D. Coombes for Ngaruawahia, J. Harris for Huntly, A. Bach and E. Cusson for Cambridge. A Downs for To Aroha, V. Marshall for Morrinsville, with power to add to their number, five to tonn a quorum. It was arranged that there should be a committee meeting on Tuesday ijflvt, November Oth, to draft a programme. Sir J, B V/'iyte was elected as president and the following gentlemen were elected as vice-presidents Jackson, Col. Forbes. Dr. Kenny, Capt. Iteid, Mr Issae Coates, and Mr L. Cussen. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the secretarj', Mr Edgecmnbe, for his past services ; and aVuta ;i£ t.hanks to the chairman closed the meeting.
