At the Congregational Union yesterday, Mr George Taylor, a resident at Melbourne, offered to give £10,000 yearly for three years, if a similar sum is subscribed by the public, for the establishment of a Congregational College in connection with the Melbourne University. lie. has also offered to give £20,000, if a similar sum is subscribed by the public, for the establishment of a school. A list was at once opened, and £10,000 was subscribed in the room.
