BAPTIST ANNIVERSARY SOIREE.
Tub seventh anniversary of the Baptist Tabernacle, Cambridge, was celebrated on Tuesday night by the usual tea meeting, and resulted in a very numerous gathering, the aisles of the building, and all standing room even, being fully occupied. Tea was served aL half-past 3ix o'clock, and a superabundant provision of good things was made by the furnishers of the tables, who were as followsMesdames Fitzgaruld, Gerrish, Griffiths, Cox and Riley, and Mr Smith, the table provided by the lastnamed being presided over by MrsMcNeish. After due execution had been done to the dainties, and the tables cleared, the aftermeeting was opened by singing hymn 393 from Sankey's Sacred Songs and Solos, " I Will Sing of My Redeemer." Interesting addresses were given by Pastor Griffiths, Rev. I)r. Hooper, Rev. J. S. Risliworth, and Pastor Spurgeon, The latter's address was profusely illustrated with anecdotes, most of them of a humorous nature and provocative of much mirth.
