O'Callaghan had lately attempted suicide, and had to be taken to the hospital for treatment, being subsequently received into the refuge. The Secretary to the Auckland_ Board desired to know whether the Waikato Board would receive the man into their refuge, or allow him to remain in the Auckland Refuge, where the charge tor his maintenance would be Is per diem, less any ainounts received on account of his pension. The secretary 011 receipt of the letter consulted with Mr S. T. Seddon, and roplied that this Board would allow O'Callaghan to remain in the Auckland Refuge. The action of the Secretary was upheld.
