A well-attended meeting was held in Mr Cniokes' residence at Paterangi on Friday evening, the 21st September, for the purpose of carrying on the Cricket Club in that district. Mr McFarlane was chosen captain for the ensuing season, and Mr Richdalo secretary and treasurer. Tho Club had a splendid record last season winning seven matches out of eight played. A letter was received from the secretary of the Cambridge Club, re the Association cup, and a challenge from the Taupiri Club to play a match on the Ist December, but both letters were held over until the first meeting of the new committee.
