CONCERT AND READING AT KIRIKIRIROA.

Chukch of England sorvices arc held reguliuly in the scliool-hmise, Kirikiriroa, which is worked as an out district of S. Peter's, Hamilton—thn services being taken by the Rev. R O'C. Biggs, and one of the stiilf of lay readers. In connection with the Church work in this district, a concert and reading was given on Saturday evening last. The room was filled by residents in the district— about 70 being present—and Mr Swa> brick, one of the lay readers, read a short paper giving an outline of the history of the Book of Common Prayer. Between the several sections of the paper, a number of ladies and gentlemen gave a short concert of sacred music. Several ladies wore prevented by illness from taking part, but the following contributed vocal and instrumental music:—Mesdumes Connell, Stone, Teas, Thomas, and Swarbrick, and Mr Connell affording the greatest pleasure to a full and appreciative audience.
