THE MELBOURNE EXHIBITION
(by ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.— COPntIGHT). Wellington, Monday. Mr Gordon', Inspector-General of minus, left for Melbourne this afternoon by the Wairarapa, for the purpose of taking charge of the mineral section of the New Zealand Court at the Exhibition. One valuable exhibit which has been entrusted to his care is a sample of Bold bearing stonu from the Kapatiga mma, Coromaiidel, weighing 35 lbs and which has been valued by the Bank of New Zealand at £400.
