FOUND DEAD.

A man named William Wishart, a swamper, was found dead at about half-past seven yesterday morning, lying by the footpath near Sydney Square, Hamilton. He had been about the town for the last day or two, drinking, but was to have returned to his work on Mr Coates' farm yesterday morning. He was a man of powerful build, and about 45 years of age. A young man named William Wild was the first to see the decoased, and called assistance, and Constablo Murray, who was sent for, had the body taken to the Royal Hotel. An inquest was held in the afternoon by the coroner, Mr Searancke. I)r Murch gave evidence of having examined the body, and expressed the opinion that deceased died from apoplexy. A verdict to that effect was returned by the jury.
