The Wellington correspondent of the Herald nppears to have been misinformed regarding the movements of Mr MeL'allum, the Dairy Inspector, and falls into an unintentional error, not quite just to that gentleman. The Inspector, as we understand, did meet the farmers in the Taranaki district, and he also held a meeting at Pukekohe. Mr McOallum would have arranged to meet the farmers at Hamilton and other Waikato centres had not an old complaint attacked him, and compelled him to defer further progress, and he was permitted to return South, after paying a flying visit to Mr Reynold's factory, at Newstead. Mr McCallum is no stranger to the Waikato, and hopes to visit it at a future date in the interest of the dairy industry.
