HAMILTON DOMAIN BOARD.

♦ Thk monthly meeting of this Board was held in the Borough Council Chambers on Tuesday evening at 7.30. Present: Messrs Knox (in the chair), Sandes, Wood, Bell, von Stunner, Frear and Jones. Recreation Ground.—lt was resolved, with reference) to Lots 9 and 10 Domain land, that they be offered for lease at an upset price of Is per annum, subject to conditions to be drawn up by a committee consisting of Messrs Knox, Jones and Frear. Rent.—Mrs Wall wrote, stating that »he was unable to pay 2Gs a year rent for each of her Domain allotments, but would pay 10s.—Mi Ton Stunner moved that Mrs Wall's letter be referred to a committee, who shall consider the question of rents, and bring up a report at next meeting as to the best plan of revising the rents so as to place them on a satisfactory basis both to the tenants and the Board, the committee to consist of Messrs Knox, Sandes, Wood, Salmon, Missen, Frear and Coates. Mr Knox to be convener of the meeting.— Seconded by Mr Frear and carried. Standing Orders. —The Committee appointed to consider the adoption of Standing Orders for regulating the meetings of the Board recommend that with a view to economy that no steps be taken at present. The report was adopted.—Mr Knox moved, "That any meeting of tho Board may be adjourned if a quorum is not present with in half an hour of the time appointed for any meeting. The members or member, if there be only one present, or the secretary, if no member be present, may adjourn such meeting, not later than three days thereafter, notice of such adjourned meeting shall be given to each member.—Seconded by Mr Jones and carried.—Mr von Scunner moved that no question of rescinding any previous resolution of tho Board shall be entertained except by a full meeting of the Board, unless notice of motion of at least three days previous to such meeting be given of such motion of rescinding.— Seconded by Mr Jones and carried. Road,—lt was resolved that Mr C. J. W. Barton be notified to open a roadway into saleyard paddock, by erecting a ;gate on the road through his paddock. Gate.—Mr Knox moved that a trap gate bo erected at tho gateway park reserve on the Ohatip'j road, and that all other gates be closed. Seconded by Mr Jones, and carried. Lease.—lt was resolved to offer the reserve on Galloway-street, for lease from September 15th to March 15th, at an upset price ut 3s per acre for the term. Park Rksrkvk.—Mγ Knox moved that the Foreman of Works be instructed to cleir the furze in the park reserve.—Seconded by Mr Jones and carried. Notiok oi' Motion.—Mr Knox gave notice to move at next meeting, that the resolution re grazing in the Park reserve be rescinded. This was all the business.
