PARLIAMENT.
LEGISLATIVE COUNCILFRIDAY. The Legislative Council sat at 2.30 p.m. Hon. Dr. Pollen moved that the Attorney General, Messrs Pharazyn, Waterhou.se, and Oliver, who were interested in tho disqualification question should have an opportunity of addressing the Council in explanation, and to witiidiaw while the matter was being discussed. Agreed to. The four gentlemen named, briefly spoke contending that they had not infringed the Constitution Act, as they had obtained leave either for one session or both. Hon Dr Pollen moved that the seats of the gentlemen named had not become vacant through any infringement of the Constitution Act. Sir G. Whitmore and Messrs Shriinski and Buckley contended that no decision arrived at by the Council would definitely settle the matter, because it was open to liavo it referred to the Privy Council. The motion was earned unanimously, and the Council rose at -1.30.
