The weekly returns of the Bank of England, published to-day, show the total reserve in notes and bullion to stand at £11,562,000, and the proportion of the reserve to liabilities at 3'J§ per cent., being a decrease of £7:58,000 in the total of reserve, and a decrease of ]- per cent, in the proportion to liabilities. The. Bank rate of discount is 2Jper cent. Mr W. A.
