The Turkish Government has given orders to keep a sharp eye on the so-called Russian pilgrims who are arriving in large numbers at the monasteries of the Galatta and Mount. The Prince of Wales wears a billycock hat, smokes a short pipe, and drives about in a hired carriage when at Cannes or Nice, and cuts everybody who attempts to treat him as a prince. Ten shillings reward is offered for a lost mare. Mr Barugh, of Wartle, calls for tenders for clearing ti tree. Mr J. McNicol has for sale forty head of bullocks otf turnips at Cambridge. Messrs W. J. Hunter and Co. advertise a number of desirable farms for sale or lease. Mr John Knox will hold a cleaiiiiK sale of trees and plants at the Claudelands Nursery on an early date. We direct particular attention to a characteristic advertisement of Mr G. Mcßride, the prince of colonial tailors, of Customs-street, Auckland.
