On the following day the weather cleared, but the wicket was sticky. The visitors continued their first innings, which clo-oti for 81 runs. North of Uiiglaiirl, who had made 03 in their first innings, only made 01! in their second. The Australians required 110 runs to win, and knocked up the number with the loss of only five wickets. There was great excitement towards the end of the match.
