CAMBRIDGE DOMAIN BOARD.
A mketing of the Cambridge Domain Board was called for Thursday last, but as only the Chairman (Mr Wells) and Mr John Fisher were present, there was not a quorum. AiißEAns oi' Rents. —In accordance with a resolution passed at lust meeting, viz.. "That the names of all tenants of the Board who were more than two quarters in arrears on July 12th should be sent to tho Governor, and permission be asked to sue them," Mr Wells instructed the clerk to at once take the necessary steps to carry out the resolution. —The clerk said they had all paid excepting three, whose names he would forward.
Furze. —Mr Fisher said ho had inspected most of the domain lands in Cambridge West, and lots 55, GO, 77, 78 and 79 were overgrown with furze; 63, G7, US and 75 also require clearing, but were not so bad as the former. The Chairman instructed the cierk to serve the necessary notices upon the lessees, and added that if the tenants would not do the work, the Board would employ labour to do it, and charge them with it, as the leases gave the Board power to do so. The Lake Entrances.—The Chairman said that the successful tenderer for the erection of gates to tho lake reserve, haying declined to do the work, it had been given to the next lowest, Mr P. Murphy, who had nearly completed the contract.
