Estehtatxment.— On the 28th .Tniio a supper and d;ince was Riven by the residents of this district, to Mrund MrsDibblo, wild are abmit to loave it, for tho purpose of savins good-bye. Mr "Dibble hus lived on Matair.uta tor 20 years, and during that time has gained tho respect of all m-rsons that he has come in contact with, as well as tho gdntl wishes of the men who were under him, while the kindness of Mrs Dibble cannot ho ton hiirhly praised. If anyone on tho estate was ill or in trouble, she always found them out, and had some good thing fur them, therefore tin: residents and workmen on the estate joined together to show their respect by giving this, entertainment, which was a great success. About f>o persons assembled, who came a long distance, and through bad roads, and after complete , justice had been done to tho RaodAinKs that were provided tor themJpy?CT)o ladies of Matamata who spared lid time or trouble, especially Miss Toague, who did her best to make it a success, they adjourned to the Public Hall where dancing was kept up to the small hourr. of the morning. Some speeches was made and replied to by Mr Dibble, and after three cheers were given for Mr and Mrs Dibble a farewell was taken, which in soino cases was very touching as some of tho men have been a long time on the estate. All went homo well pleased with their evening's enjoyment.
