THE SALVATION ARMY.
Up to the present the Salvation Army carries the palm for the number of people who attend meetings in Hamilton, some 350 persons being present at the services, both on Saturday and Sunday evenings. On Saturday evening Capt. Cutler announced that there were 43 persons on the platform, and invited any others from the body of the hall to take a place among them who were interested in the work, when about half-a-dozen more stepped upon the platform. Conspicuous amongst the soldiers was one who is well-known throughout the Waikato, and whose presence there was the signal fer a tremendous " volley " from his late comrades on the platform! The building in Hoodstreet is almost completed, and the first meeting will be held in it this (Tuesday) evening. As the barracks were not quite finished yesterday, the meeting last night was held in the Wesleyan Church, which was kindly lent for the purpose.
