ENTERTAINMENT AT TAMAHERE.
The concert and dance at Tamahere on Tuesday evening last, in aid of the Sunday School, was fairly well patronised. As it would occupy too timcli space to give the musical portion of the programme, in detail, it is only necessary to say that it .was well carried through every portion of it being well received by the audience. The songs by the ladies were especially good, and the songs by the gentleman who acc impanied himself on Lho banjo was loudly applauded. The whistling to the piano accompaniment, by a well-known amateur, pleased the younger portion of the, audience immensely. After singing the national anthem, the room was altered for those who wished to indulgo in the Torpsieliorean art. Mr Edwards kindly provided the refreshments for the visitors. We have been asked to thank the ladies and gentlemen from Hamilton for their kind assistance, also Mr Probine for the use of his piano.
