HAMILTON LIGHT INFANTRY.
The above company paraded at their hall on Tuesday last. There was an excellent muster, between 40 and . r >o of all ranks being present on parade. After inspection by Capt. Reid, the company was put through the manual exercise by ColourSergeant Pearson, and then inarched to Hamilton Kast, headed by their band, where a few company movements were gone through. On return to the hall, prior to dismissing the company, all the arms in possession of the members were called in, and the gratifying announcement made that the corps was to be supplied with new rifles, which will be given out next drill night. All members not present on Tuesday evening are requested to hand in their rifles and bayonets at once. The quarterly church parade will be held on Sunday next : the company to muster on Sydney Square at 10.15 a.m. sharp. Bandsman P. C. Newrick has been appointed Band Sergeant.
