NEWS OF STANLEY.
DESERTED BY HIS ESCORT. (l)Y ELECTKIC TGLEGRAPif. —COPVBIGUT.) London, June 14. Lktters have been received from Major Barttelofc, commander of H. M. Stanley's reserve, stating that they are short of provisions, and his followers are dying, lie implores that relief be sent without delay. ■i June 15. News has been received from the Arabs at Kinssa Sha, Upper Congo, that Stanley's party encountered a force of hostile tribes, and, after a fight, half of his escort deperted him. Tippo failed to keep -his promise to send a convoy for Stanley.
